Semeli Economou grew up in Munich in an artistic enviroment. She started her acting career from the early age of 15 when she won a talent competition on National Television in Cyprus for the part of Yelena in Uncle Vanya. She undertook her acting training in London and New York and has since worked in Theatre and Film.

Her recent theatre credits include Rosina in The Barber of Seville at the Linbury Studio of the ROH, Covent Garden, which was transmitted live over the internet; Alla Vadimovna in Zoyka’s Apartment at the Edinburgh Festival; Willie in This Property is Condemned at The Riverside Studios and Abigail in The Crucible at the Podium Festival Moscow. Next year she will be taking the title role in Therese Raquin on the London Stage.

Film credits include Alice in the New York feature An American Outing and in Greece, Anna in the long awaited English-speaking social comedy Kalabush. Here in London she just completed filming the lead role of Italian Film Star Stefania in the feature The Adventures of George the Projectionist. She is lined up for film roles in three international productions.
